Coffer Support
Coffer keeps your family’s passports, licences, certificates and policies in one private place on your iPhone — and nudges you before any of them expires.
Questions, a bug, or something that doesn’t work the way you expected? Email sdm.thayyil@gmail.com. There’s no account, so tell us your iPhone model and iOS version if it’s about a problem — never send a document itself.
My documents aren’t showing on a new iPhone
- Check you’re signed in to iCloud with the same Apple Account, and that Coffer’s Settings → Location is set to iCloud.
- Keep iCloud Keychain turned on (Settings → [your name] → iCloud → Passwords and Keychain). Your encryption key travels through it; until it arrives, the pages it sealed can’t be opened.
- A first sync can take a few minutes. Home says “Fetching from iCloud” while it’s working. Keep Coffer open and your iPhone on Wi-Fi.
Reminders aren’t arriving
- In Coffer, Settings → Reminders shows whether notifications are allowed, and which days before an expiry you’re reminded.
- Each document has its own “Remind me before it expires” switch.
- If notifications are off for Coffer, turn them on in iOS Settings → Notifications → Coffer.
Does Coffer need Apple Intelligence?
No. On iPhones with Apple Intelligence, Coffer uses it to read harder scans and to understand searches like “Jordan’s car insurance”, all on the iPhone. Everywhere else, the built-in reader fills in the same fields, and search matches titles, names and scanned text.
What if I lose my iPhone?
With iCloud chosen, your coffer comes back when you sign in on a new iPhone. With “This iPhone only”, Coffer keeps no copy anywhere else — Settings → Backup explains the difference.
Can I keep Coffer off iCloud?
Yes: Settings → Location → This iPhone only. Nothing leaves the device, and nothing is backed up.
Privacy
Coffer collects no data. The Privacy Policy explains exactly what is stored, and where.
